CONNECT·POINTS: SCREEN RESOLUTION
Currently, Connect-Points web designs use 800x600 as the default page width. 800x600 pixel resolution is considered the "lowest common denominator" screen setting.
If the blue line below fills your screen and you can just see the red tips, your screen is probably set to 800x600.
If you see 1½ inches of space on either side of the red tip you probably have the most common screen resolution, 1024 x 768. If you see 2 inches or more of space, your screen resolution is 1280x1024 or higher. These three screen resolutions—800x600, 1024 x 768, 1280x1024—encompass about 95% of Internet viewers.
Some clients prefer a fluid design that changes size with the screen resolution and other clients prefer a static design that is always the same width. When we discuss the audience and purpose of your web site, we'll determine which type of web design will be best for you.
