Connect•Points: Web Site Maintenance Agreements
What is Web Site Maintenance?
Maintenance is updating copy, photos, links, graphics,
etc. Maintenance is adding new pages and removing old ones. Changes
that do not require a site redesign fall under web site maintenance.
Connect-Points
has two rates for maintaining web sites, the standard rate of $65
an hour and a contracted rate of $50 an hour. To
be eligible for the contracted rate, your site should require a minimum
of 3 hours of work monthly.
Why enter a maintenance/service agreement?
Contract work is more economical than the element rate for regular updating. For example, if you wish to have a page of text edited, the regular hourly rate would be $65 per hour. At the contract rate, writing and editing would be billed at only $50 an hour.
What are the qualifications for contract work?
A service agreement of 3 or more hours of web service per month for at least three months receives the Connect-Points contract rate of $50 an hour.
How is the hourly rate billed?
Contract maintenance work is billed in quarterly increments of $12.5 per ¼ hour. Standard rate maintenance is billed in half-hour increments of $32.50 per ½ hour, with a minimum billing of an hour ($65). In either case, you will be given an estimate for each new assignment.
What is included in the monthly service?
Monthly service can include any activity that maintains and updates a site without overhauling the site. Service includes updating copy in calendars, newsletters, coupons, or text; minor changes to web layout, links, prices or pictures; or, minor additions such as additional pages, new links, or new images.
What if my web site was not designed by Connect-Points?
No problem! Connect-Points can maintain your web site even if someone else designed it, including updating deprecated code. If your site needs a redesign or overhaul, that would fall under our regular design rates.
